The Ness Dementia Centre was designed by dementia specialist architects and has a mix of open‑plan space for group activity and smaller, more intimate rooms for those in need of peace and quiet. These include; a beach style cafe, areas to accommodate visiting services such as hairdressers and chiropodists, and a sunny outdoor area for fresh air, barbecues and activities such as gardening.
The dementia centre is a truly welcoming space where members may spend as little or as much time as they like and is designed to create feelings of relaxation and a sense of community.
What we offer
Our menu of activities at The Ness Dementia Centre is regularly changing and we always like getting feedback from our members’ families on what is most popular. Members will benefit from:
Cognitive Stimulation Therapy
How much does it cost?
Members can attend as much as they feel is required, so for this reason, we offer half and full day costs. Many of our members will be either fully or partly funded by social services and we are happy to help with navigating the social care financial support process.
We can also provide transport from local care & residential homes or the members’ home. We also provide healthy home cooked lunches each and every day. Please ask when booking a session for more information on these extra elements of our dementia day service.
“My husband attends The Ness Dementia Centre in Teignmouth twice a week and really enjoys going . All the staff are extremely caring and make the time spent there a wonderful experience with all the different activities they provide.”
