COVID-19 UPDATE* - Atlas remains fully operational, with some staff working remotely and all services following the latest UK government guidelines. We can be contacted via email or by calling 01626 774 799.
In addition to our other dementia services, we also run three wonderful memory cafes across Torbay, in Babbacombe, Brixham and Paignton.
Open every week on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoon, they are friendly and welcoming cafes where you can not only enjoy a cup of tea, but make friends, and take part in a range of great activities – from quizzes and crafts, to dancing and exercise.
The cafes are open to anyone with memory problems, as well as anyone who knows or looks after someone with memory issues. We pride ourselves in our service as we can help to signpost individuals and families to appropriate support during these sessions.
For those who have a diagnosis, we are your first port of call so please visit and see what support we can offer.
Volunteering at our cafes
Volunteers are the mainstay of the cafes, so we are always looking for willing and able people to help keep them running smoothly.
If you have a spare couple of hours once a week, please get in touch. There are plenty of opportunities to help out – from chatting to our regulars, serving teas and coffees, to leading and assisting with activities.
No experience is necessary and dementia awareness training will be provided.
For more information in attending a memory cafe session or if you are interested in volunteering, please contact Kathrine by giving her a call on 07908 639736 or sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
